Validators

Becoming a Validator

Learn the steps to become a validator on the Siriux blockchain and contribute to network security.

Becoming a Validator

Why Become a Validator?

Becoming a Siriux validator allows you to:

  • Earn staking rewards by validating transactions.
  • Contribute to network security and decentralization.
  • Participate in governance and decision-making processes.

Validators play a critical role in maintaining the blockchain’s reliability and efficiency.

Requirements to Become a Validator

To run a validator node on the Siriux blockchain, you need:

1️⃣ Minimum SIRI Token Stake

  • A minimum amount of SIRI tokens must be staked to be eligible.
  • The higher your stake, the higher the chances of being selected to validate blocks.

2️⃣ Hardware & Network Requirements

Your validator node must meet the following specifications:

  • CPU: Multi-core processor (Recommended: 8 cores or higher)
  • RAM: Minimum 32GB (Recommended: 64GB for high performance)
  • Storage: SSD with at least 1TB+ of free space
  • Internet: Stable 1Gbps+ connection with high uptime
  • OS: Linux-based (Ubuntu 22.04 recommended)

3️⃣ Technical Expertise

  • Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, and command-line operations.
  • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot node issues.

4️⃣ Uptime and Security Commitment

  • Validators must maintain high uptime (≥99%).
  • Security best practices must be followed to prevent attacks.

Steps to Become a Validator

Step 1: Prepare Your Hardware & Environment

  • Set up a dedicated server (cloud-based or on-premise).
  • Install a Linux operating system.

Step 2: Install the Siriux Validator Node

  • Download and configure the Siriux node software.
  • Sync your node with the Siriux blockchain.

Step 3: Stake Your SIRI Tokens

  • Deposit your SIRI tokens into the staking contract.
  • Meet the minimum stake requirement.

Step 4: Start Validating Transactions

  • Run your validator node and join the Siriux consensus process.
  • Monitor performance and keep the node updated.
